It’s such a powerful name for such a slow connection!
It would be more appropriately named SLUDGE.

myPhone

got it.
activated it.
played with it.
love it!

I wish I could just play with my new iPhone all night, but I have sooo much work to do. It’s inspiration to get it all done! :)

One gripe I have… the keyboard is a qwerty keyboard, but that doesn’t really help speed typers like me because I’m not used to hunting and pecking with one finger. I’d much prefer an abcdef layout. Who knows, there may be a way to tweak that. I guess I won’t know until I get in there and really play with it.

iPhone debate

While doing research on iPhone design/development, I stumbled upon a post by Jason at 37signals (love you guys!!! I use ALL of your products!!) It’s quite an interesting read, with lots of comments from people on both sides of the camp. One side says “why develop a separate interface for a device that runs existing Safari websites?” while the other side says “why not focus on user experience, regardless of the iPhone’s ability to render Safari?” I have to say, I agree with the latter. It’s all about the user experience. Just because a site is viewable on the iPhone, doesn’t mean it’s tailored to that environment. ie: finger touch vs. mouse, big buttons vs tiny controls, etc.
